Delicious Eats

Inspired by Nutty Life, Chloe adapted this recipe to make chocolate peppermint almond milk on today’s show. For an even easier almond milk recipe, check out this solution from The First Mess Cookbook.

Christy’s OMG Walnuts

1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts

1/2 cup maple syrup

1/2 tsp sea salt

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp vanilla extract

Using a nonstick skillet, combine the walnuts, maple syrup, and sea salt over medium-high heat. Stir using a wooden spoon or heat-resistant rubber spatula. Stir continuously for about five minutes or until the maple syrup thickens and reduces. Add the cinnamon and continue stirring until the maple syrup has completely adhered to the nuts. Remove the skillet from the heat and carefully pour over the vanilla extract, continuing to stir until it has evaporated. Tip the nuts onto a parchment lined sheet tray and allow to cool. Break apart and enjoy!
